14k Solid Gold
While 14k solid gold is new to our collection, we have partnered with a credited, family owned factory to ensure our standards are not only met, but exceeded.
14k solid gold is a precious metal, that will last beyond a lifetime, making it a wonderful choice for a must-have piece. We prefer 14k as it's more durable than 18k or 20k, so definitely a great choice if you're wearing your piece daily. And tbh, we prefer the soft color that 14k yellow gold offers.
Care
Yes, wear it every damn day. But remember it's still a precious treasure. We recommend storing your pieces seperatly to avoid scratches. You can absolutely wear your solid gold pieces in salt water and fresh water. If you wear it in the shower we suggest avoiding any abrasive body scrubs as this could scratch the metal.
Clean
A little warm soapy water will do the trick. We recommend a biodegradeable dish soap followed by wiping with a soft cloth. To really get your gold sparkling we suggest our polishing cloth, which will polish out any scratches, and get your gold shining like new.
14k Gold Fill
We started our company using 14k yellow gold fill. We wanted to provide quality, beautiful jewelry that women could actually afford to treat themselves to. Gold fill jewelry is awesome as it wears like solid gold, but has a price point similiar to silver.
Gold fill is a thick layer of gold that has been physically bonded to a base metal. It contains 100x more gold than plated jewelry, and is legally required to contain 1/20 gold by weight in the USA.
Care:
Treat your gold fill just as you would solid gold, but know that the more careful you are with it, the longer it will last. The life expectancy of gold fill can be anywhere from 5 to 50 years, depending on wear, tear and care.
Clean:
Clean just as you would solid gold. Our polishing cloths work wonders on our gold fill products too!
Sterling Silver
Beloved for it's brightness and affordable price point, sterling silver is an alloy containing 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% copper. It is a precious metal that, with proper care, can last a lifetime.
Care:
Sterling silver does oxidize, so we recommend keeping it stored in an air tight box or bag. Wearing it in the water will also accelerate oxidization. Fun fact: the oils in your skin actually polish silver, so wear it everyday and enjoy your silver goods.
Clean:
Our polishing cloths work exceptionally well on silver jewels. Rinse with a little warm soapy water, and use a toothbrush for the nitty gritty areas and be sure to thoroughly dry before storing.
Vermeil
Vermeil is a layer of gold, plated onto sterling silver. Not to be confused with regular plating, gold plating onto sterling silver lasts much longer. With proper care, it can last for years.
Care:
Vermeil can tarnish, so we recommend keeping it stored in an air tight box or bag when you're not wearing it. Keep these jewelry pieces away from sweat, water and chemicals.
Clean:
Rinse with a little warm soapy water, and use a toothbrush for the nitty gritty areas and be sure to thoroughly dry before storing.
